Japan Baseball Experience On
a sunny spring afternoon in 1990 during the first day of my first visit to Japan, I went to a Japanese professional
baseball game. I was hooked.
Since then I've returned
many, many times and whenever I attend a
game I always have a terrific outing and generally find something new that our
Japanese baseball counterparts are doing.
It
began to occur to me that if I enjoyed myself at these games, then maybe baseball fans
would too. So, in addition to business
taking me to Japan, I've hosted tours there since 1996.
My
wife, Margaret, and I for years owned and operated the Everett
AquaSox, a Class
A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. Upon the sale of that club we now
work with family members through Bavasi
Sports Partners on baseball-related projects here and abroad.
I continue to enjoy building baseball relationships with Japan and, as
such, I invite you to join in these trips.
You're
invited to see the games, meet the people, and expand your horizons in a country
that's hip, forward thinking, yet very traditional. Come explore how the
Japanese have taken baseball, put their own spin on it, and how you can enjoy it
and their culture.
You
can count on an in-depth and personal view of Japan that
I don't believe you could duplicate with any commercial tour.
I promise you a truly remarkable time on our Japan Baseball
Experience.
