Description: Nicknamed “Hamasta” (YokoHAMA STAdium) by the locals, Yokohama Stadium seats over 34,000 and boasts great views of the field all around. The field dimensions are quite short, but the 5-meter-high wall along the outfield prevents this from being the most hitter-friendly park in NPB. Still, it leans more towards helping batters than pitchers.
Located in the middle of Yokohama Park near Kannai Station, it is a short walk away from Yokohama’s delightful Chinatown and beautiful waterfront promenade. Due to its convenient access, nice surroundings, and ability to absorb large crowds, Yokohama Stadium is the primary baseball venue for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
