Oakland Ballers | Oakland, CA | June 29, 2024
JapanBall, along with the Lefty O’Doul San Francisco Bay Area SABR Chapter and the Dusty Baker Sacramento SABR Chapter, will host a local meetup at the Oakland Ballers game on Saturday, June 29, at historic Raimondi Park.
The game starts at 1 PM, and afterward, we will have an event at the ballpark to mingle with fellow JapanBallers and interact with some of the Ballers. Tentative participants include:
- EVP of Baseball Operations Don Wakamatsu: The former big leaguer became the first Asian manager in MLB when he was hired to manage the Seattle Mariners.
- Coach JT Snow: Fan-favorite and San Francisco Giants Wall-of-Famer won six straight Gold Gloves at first base.
- Manager Micah Franklin. Played for the St. Louis Cardinals, NPB’s Hanshin Tigers and Nippon-Ham Fighters, and the KBO’s Hyundai Unicorns.

Join JapanBall and Baseball Bucket List in Arizona this fall for both the Mexican Baseball Fiesta and the Arizona Fall League!
Experience an exciting lineup of events at the Mexican Baseball Fiesta including thrilling games between teams from the Liga Arco Mexicana del Pacifico, concerts, dance performances, and mouth-watering food festivals. Then, join us for a few Arizona Fall League games! The AFL is often referred to as “the best-kept secret in baseball” and is reminiscent of the way many baseball fans remember the “good old days” of Spring Training.
