Tokyo Main Tour

by Brandon Yano

An Urban Baseball Adventure

August 2023: Approximately 8 Days, 5 Games, 1 City

Note: The description and itinerary below are from 2022. We left the information on this page to give an idea of what to expect.

Tokyo is the best city in the world, per an unofficial poll of past JapanBall guests and an official declaration by Condé Nast. Plus, the extended Tokyo area has five NPB teams/stadiums and the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame!

So, we figure we ought to offer you the opportunity to pass on the hassle of packing, unpacking, and traveling between cities and let one of the metropolitan wonders of the world be your base for eight days. It will be an urban baseball adventure like no other in the world!

Worried that you may be missing out on some of the fun? Worry not, because three of the games (four, if you add on a sixth) will overlap with our See-It-All Tour group!

We recommend this tour for two types of travelers:

  1. Those who want less travel time and more free time to explore.
  2. Those who have physical limitations that would make it difficult to change locations with their luggage multiple times.

Want to see more baseball in Tokyo? We can combine this Tokyo Main Tour with the final game of the Northern Add-On Tour, and also add more games and hotel nights to the beginning or end of your itinerary.

Still not enough baseball? You can combine this with the South Korea Tour too!

As of this writing, tourists are still not permitted to enter Japan. We expect that this will change soon and that in order to enter Japan, travelers will at least need to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, and will probably have to present a negative Covid test, amongst other requirements. Visit the website of the US Embassy in Japan for current information.
